Oh man, sorry for your loss, how old was she if I may ask? We lost a daughter also, Darcy was the jewel of our family. IQ 170, she could have been anything but she was killed on her motorcycle, woman in a big caddy turned right in front of her and she was killed instantly. I guess if you go that is the best at least, like those poor folks in the Titan sub, they went so fast they literally would not have known what hit them.
I guess you think of her on her last day. My father was killed in a robbery, shot in the head point blank, he lived about 2 weeks, brain swelled up so much he died from the brain swell.
I think about him every now and again also. They say the man who murdered him got put in prison for another crime but got killed in jail.
I am still processing that one.

So sorry for your losses, I frigging hate death with a passion.

She passed 13 days past her first birthday. Before that, we discovered she had holes in the upper and lower chambers of her heart, and she was born without the value for the pulmonary artery so that artery was being fed by lots of other connections her heart had. It was so balanced it wasn't until her 2 weeks check our doctor heard a murmur and had it checked. She was in the hospital from 4 months to 7, and one surgery connected her heart to the pulmonary artery. That was scary we were told a couple of things could happen, nothing, which meant heart and lung transplants would be required, or too little or too much blood would be pumped meaning she would they would need to go in again and either tighten the stent or loosen it. She got too much so they went back in and tightened it.

We were blessed with a world-class heart surgeon for babies, we were told he was ranked in the top three at the time. She recovered enough to come home with us from 7 months to the end of the year. Constant checks, only one of us would leave the house at a time never exposing her to the public. Right after the first of the year, we noticed she was gaining water. You could touch her arm and the impression remained, we called our doctor he said to come to the office an hour before it opened. He was on the phone with the heart cardiologist in his office when she went into cardiac arrest. They sent us out of the room to work on her and called an ambulance, frightening to say the least.

After a short time, they told us to go to the hospital it was only a few blocks away she passed away. So that was one of the best and worse years of my life.

We celebrate her birthday and mourn her on the day she died, Jan 2 when she was born Jan 15 when she died. Before we started doing that both days were days of mourning.

Yeah, Susan is the same. It has been a long time now but she still mourns. You never get over the loss of a child.

I don't believe in this life time there is ever a time limit when we lose a child.

moonbus has not once answered my question like you dances around it. The normal operating answer that has typically been delivered here is to try and drag this into a Spiritual discussion best suited for that forum!

What a shame too the minds supposedly focused on all things scientific cannot come up with anything positive to say about how strong the evidence is for mind ...[text shortened]... asked for reasons.

Outside of attempting to change the subject none of you have offered anything.
The evidence for 'mindlessness' is there for you to see, as has been indicated in this forum, you simply refuse to see it.

So let's by all means keep this scientific. What is the scientific reasoning behind your belief that snakes can talk, that the universe was made in six days, and that the earth is 6000 years old? What is the scientific method behind your pretend scientists' assumption that the Christian god created everything?

Lots of science there for you to talk about, so let's have some answers.

Yawn, spiritual topics belong in the Spiritual forum. Point to the posts that shows mindlessness is responsible for the complexities we see in life. You are dreaming!

Lots of science GREAT post some that speaks to mindlessness!

There was nothing in the least 'Spiritual' about my post, or my questions. Via your chosen pseudo scientist you brought your primitive beliefs into the Science Forum, so I'm asking you to justify your doing so, and for your scientific reasoning behind them. If you don't have any, just say so.

You won't get an answer, Mister Divegeester; we are invited to endure pseudo - scientific nonsense, but anything which actually answers the questions raised will be ignored. Keep trying, though, it's good sport! And greetings to you, by the way.

You brought up 6000-year-old earth, didn't you, I have not brought up time I said it doesn't matter. If you cannot describe your science, why act as if you have some?

So you didn't read Dive's link, sounds like.
If you read the link maybe you can come up with a valid scientific argument why it is not true which will run a lot better than 'no amount of time will make life from non life by random chance' kind of argument, especially since we as humans have had the possibility for looking at such things scientifically, what, a couple hundred years max?
Let's see, 200 years V age of universe, 14 billion years.

Like about one part in 200 million to one we have missed both in the past AND the future.
So how can you use the not enough time argument when we as humans have been scientific for only a few hundred years?
You just make assertions with nothing to back you up scientifically and that would most likely be because you know good and well there is no scientific argument that could in any way prove God did it.

I have been asking for a REASON why mindlessness is a better explanation for the complex functional systems in life from the beginning. I would welcome something other than people's views on spiritual matters sticking to scientific ones but I don't get that and have not yet.
