but if god has put death in place to save us from sin - and you love god - and you hate sin, especially your own.....wouldnt death be a welcome relief? why would you want to live doing the things that you know hurts the one you love most???

"I leave...": personal pronoun with an active transitive verb does not equate with a declaration of being "immune". "Please edit quoted text responsibly. Making modifications which misrepresent the original post will result in a forum ban." -Russ

I have raised this specific instance of you declaring yourself, as I have put it, "immune to human criticism" numerous times in posts addressed directly to you over the last nine months. And you have not quibbled it even once ~ seeing as you did, after all, say what you said, and my use of the word immune does not alter the meaning of what you said. And here you are threatening to try to get another member of this community banned yet again. πŸ™‚

i don't care much what it sounds like to you. you want to talk about the place where you go after you die? fine, go ahead. but you cannot use eternity. that is related to time by every definition in every dictionary. at the very least you should warn people that from now on ...[text shortened]...
you can't have a debate if you expect people to guess that you change the meanings of words.
Based on this verse I say eternity has more to do with a location, a place, more than having anything to do with time.

Isaiah 57:15
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Now I realize that by now you got your undies all up in a bundie over this, but your being too dogmatic. If it suits you then accept whatever definition of eternity you please, but I'm inclined to think of eternity as a place to go to, or exist in, as apposed to merely thinking of it in terms of representing time.

According to the verse above God is there in eternity. God inhabits eternity. A habitation is generally associated with a location, and in that sense eternity is a place. A place where time has no meaning.

Sorry for pushing your buttons. You seemed to have walked into it. Sometimes I get that way. I used to be much worse. Even in the real world. A few times I barely got away with my life because of my confrontational nature. Peace!

Are you going to measure time in eternity? Will you? IDK!

Here and now we measure time. We use it as a reference for grasping the concept of eternity, but when our time is up here and we go to the hereafter there won't be any need for time as far as I can tell right now. πŸ˜‰

No human being is "immune to human criticism". When it's present we're all aware of it. Question is what do we do with it?

Correct. However, the post did not include reference to the verbatim quotation which was grossly distorted.

Well, what you personally do when you face dissent and criticism on this forum is well documented and really no secret.

You do things like repost your OP; copy paste large tracts of other people's posts or your own; copy paste quotations that do not address any of the criticisms; or ignore the dissent or criticism completely

Other things you do: you often post something from the RHP Terms of Service; make some comments about "trolling" without addressing the people you have in mind; copy paste something about things like "trolling" or "emotionalism" or some other material about perceived personal weaknesses of the people who have disagreed with you or criticized you.

In addition, you often start whole threads with topics like "trolling" or "emotionalism" or "anger" or other similar things which allow you to make all manner of personal remarks about persons carefully unspecified.

In those April exchanges with people like me and wolfgang59 and SwissGambit what you did was declare yourself immune from human criticism.
