How to play
Emperor's Game
Played on a 10x10 board with two new pieces - the General and the Adjutant.
Starting Position
The General and Adjutant start either side of the King and Queen
Pawns can advance up to three squares on their first movement. In addition, Emperor's Game
General
The General like a Queen and a Knight combined.
Moves like a Knight that can also attack the diagonals and horizontals like a Queen.
Adjutant
The Adjutant moves like a Bishop and Knight combined
Moves like a Knight and can also attack the diagonals like a Bishop.
Pawn Promotion
A Pawn can also promote to an General, Adjutant, Queen, Rook, Knight, or Bishop - but only if that piece has previously been captured.
Castling
The King moves 4 squares for queenside castling, and 3 squares for kingside.
The King moves four squares queenside and three squares kingside castling.
En Passant captures are valid on both squares during a move 3 square advance.
Check and Checkmate rules remain the same as Standard Chess.
Stalemate conditions remain the same as Standard Chess.
Draw conditions remain the same as Standard Chess.
Winning conditions remain the same as Standard Chess.
