@divegeester saidKellyjay?
This doesn’t align with your version of God and his forgiveness. Which is that God is vengeful and will burn people alive in hell.
Why can’t your version of God forgive them the same way you are exhorting this hypothetical rape victim to forgive their assailant?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidThis was a mob, they wanted to kill her and put Jesus in a place where He either denied the law or accepted it, so they had something on Him. You are attempting to use that to eliminate society being able to render judgment on anything! It wouldn't matter if it was a death penalty, all charges under what you are saying would be under assault, according to you every charge for every crime would be in play. You are not rightly dividing the word, what you attempting to do is make all law-breaking unjudgeable in this life by us.
Irrelevant. I didn't say let the person without sin cast the first stone, Jesus did. You are the one who is at odds with the Christian message and who has no faith in God's ability to judge.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidYou don't understand the Christian message as near as I can tell, but you do have a grip on the denial of it.

@kellyjay saidThe day that I 'keep in mind' anything that you say will be a day indeed. I only pose these questions to you on these forums so that everyone can witness your avoidance of them, your ridiculous, nonsensical beliefs, and your lack of anything approaching rational or consistent thought. It's a bit like shooting fish in a barrel, but there you are, mission accomplished.
Innocent of the crime that they are standing trial for, is possible while at the same time being guilty of a lifetime of sins. Keep in mind God transcends time so He sees the whole thing from beginning to end. That also means everything done is before Him that we did our whole lives. I can only imagine that at judgement day He will remove our blinders so we too will see it ...[text shortened]... ret deed will be revealed. It will be a day of no excuses all will be revealed.
We need a Savior!

@kellyjay saidBased on what you said on the previous page…
You don't understand the Christian message as near as I can tell, but you do have a grip on the denial of it.
Why does a rape victim have to forgive the rapist when your version of God won’t forgive an unrepentant non Christian and will subsequently burn them alive for eternity?
Seems like the worst king of hypocrisy you are peddling.
@the-gravedigger saidNo one "kills babies".
I always found it odd that the people most in favour of killing babies were not in favour of killing murderers and rapists.
Babies have been born.

@indonesia-phil saidConsistent is He who is perfect God, and there are us who are capable of doing anything evil and come up with any excuse to justify ourselves even as we acknowledge we can do evil, and think because the evil we do is not as bad as someone else that makes us righteous and good, except that only shows we have no clue.

@kellyjay saidCough, cough, God sends bears to rip children to pieces...
Consistent is He who is perfect God, and there are us who are capable of doing anything evil
@ghost-of-a-duke saidAnswered and you ignored it, your complaint doesn’t have any validity if you can’t respond to the reasoning. All you did was turn that into another hit and run complaint!
Cough, cough, God sends bears to rip children to pieces...
@kellyjay saidSorry Kelly, but you can't claim God is consistently perfect when he sends bears to kill children or randomly decides to kill Moses, or a hundred other such examples.
Answered and you ignored it, your complaint doesn’t have any validity if you can’t respond to the reasoning. All you did was turn that into another hit and run complaint!
If you provide some reasoning I'll respond to it. - And I think your beliefs are closer aligned to the OT than they are to the teachings of Jesus which seem to have gone right over your head.
