You claim to have personally helped people with drug problems. You don't sound very convincing now.

It's interesting that one can be disassociated and shunned by JWs for saving someone's life with a blood transfusion, but not for sexual molestation of
children.

You paid to use this site, even though you're not going to use it, just to save face in a childish argument on a chess forum??? LOL!!!! That is the funniest thing i've heard all week. What a sad, sad middle aged man you are!!! Is your ego that fragile?

My brother is a drug and alcohol counselor (being a recovered alcoholic himself), you'd be surprised at the amount of people who are crack and heroin addicts who have been at some point in their life victims of child sex abuse. So in answer to your question, yes.

Does it strike you as odd how robbie has claimed numerous times - in his bouts of "we're awesome" chest beating - to have rescued people from substance abuse, and yet for him here to exhibit a sneering attitude to a drug user who was a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of a Jehovah's Witness "brother"?

Would your drug and alcohol counselor brother recognize robbie as a kindred spirit in terms of compassion and awareness when it comes to relating to addicts?

Isn't it true that Jehovah's Witnesses often choose the organisation over their own children when there is conflict?

Am I right when I recall that galveston75 admitted here to shunning his own child for years?

The answers to these questions are not in the "court transcript".

please forgive me, but is it not termed drug abuse, rather than a self medicative
technique? Indeed, how one can possibly reason that either alcohol or drug abuse is a
self medicative technique is quite beyond me. Why haven't doctors prescribed crack
cocaine as a valid form of treatment if it to be considered a self medicative technique,
is it an alternative treatment? Why would her lawyers describe it as self medication
rather than drug abuse? Please note I am not contesting that people who are facing
difficulties turn to drugs and alcohol, I am contesting that it should be described as self
medication, when in fact, it is evidently clear that its ultimately destructive and is a
form of self abuse.

then they are irrelevant to the discussion and if you want to know what the Gman
thinks, ask him. We are discussing Candace Conti v the WTBTS and will not be
sidetracked with more irrelevancies.

So you refuse to answer this question: Isn't it true that Jehovah's Witnesses often choose the organisation over their own children when there is conflict?

It is relevant of course. But you are refusing to answer it. Fair enough.

I wonder if you have much of an idea of what it's like for a 9 year old to be sexually molested. I recall that galveston75 admitted here to shunning his own child for years, and I am also aware that this kind of thing happens relatively often in JW circles. What must it have been like for Candace Conti, a little 9 year old girl, in that tightly knit Jehovah's Witness environment, no adults - or "Jehovah's Witness brothers" - able to protect her from being abused [they claimed retrospectively to be legally forbidden from helping the little girl]? Do you feel any compassion for her, I wonder. Your demeanour is interesting on this thread.

Well the point is relevant. You have claimed numerous times to have personally rescued people from substance abuse and yet here you are sounding like you know little or nothing about addicts, their problems, their addictions. Just saying.

Do you think Proper Knob's drug and alcohol counselor brother would recognize you as a kindred spirit?
