@divegeester saidHe lacks or understands Knowing & Growing spiritually with God over time along with faith, trust, and times fear. Science doesn’t do well understanding or accessing our mind, souls ability or what is passed between in directions.
What specifically, in Indonesia Phil’s post gives you this particular impression?
@mike69 saidThis is your opinion of Indonesia Phil based on him not sharing yours (nor mine) spiritual beliefs, but it is not gleaned from the post he made which is why I asked kellyjay my question and makes his reply to Phil a non sequitur.
He lacks or understands Knowing & Growing spiritually with God over time along with faith, trust, and times fear.
@mike69 saidI disagree. Science can access our minds through scans, psychology, psychiatry, and the plethora of cognitive therapies.
Science doesn’t do well understanding or accessing our mind, souls ability or what is passed between in directions.
As for “souls”, well there is no evidence whatsoever that they exist.
@indonesia-phil saidThere is nothing in our lives so pure as to not require belief. You believe your mind understands the universe despite the belief, you think our minds and the universe are the end products of a long string of mindless processes.
Science does not require belief, this is a fundamental thing which you don't understand, and until you do, you will always fall into the same intellectual trap as your pretend scientist.
Do you believe that when you are doing science there are fundamental things that can give you an understanding to your consciousness despite not knowing what consciousness really is but you get enlightened nonetheless? Do you believe that the universe is composed of nothing more than a material it is made of, which on its face is not true, the immaterial is also here. Do you believe the immaterial pieces of the universe are products from the material as a bottom-up makeup? These things you are sure of without belief as you begin your science, do you believe these things are true?
So if you are wrong about that, that instead, the material is derivative of the immaterial, making the universe a top-down universe, then right off at the start everything you believe is wrong.
Then there is your piss poor judgment on Dr. Tour being a pretend scientist, you are the pretender. Next to him what are your credentials, I can pull him off the web, are you so famous I can look up you, and find out why your views over his should be taken when it comes to chemistry. Your arrogance and lack of understanding is astounding.

James M. Tour, a synthetic organic chemist, received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Syracuse University, his Ph.D. in synthetic organic and organometallic chemistry from Purdue University, and postdoctoral training in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Wisconsin and Stanford University. After spending 11 years on the faculty of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina, he joined the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology at Rice University in 1999 where he is presently the T. T. and W. F. Chao Professor of Chemistry, Professor of Computer Science, and Professor of Materials Science and NanoEngineering. Tour’s scientific research areas include nanoelectronics, graphene electronics, silicon oxide electronics, carbon nanovectors for medical applications, green carbon research for enhanced oil recovery and environmentally friendly oil and gas extraction, graphene photovoltaics, carbon supercapacitors, lithium ion batteries, CO2 capture, water splitting to H2 and O2, water purification, carbon nanotube and graphene synthetic modifications, graphene oxide, carbon composites, hydrogen storage on nanoengineered carbon scaffolds, and synthesis of single-molecule nanomachines which includes molecular motors and nanocars. He has also developed strategies for retarding chemical terrorist attacks. For pre-college education, Tour developed the NanoKids concept for K-12 education in nanoscale science, and also Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero science packages for elementary and middle school education: SciRave that later expanded to a Stemscopes-based SciRave. The SciRave program has risen to be the #1 most widely adopted program in Texas to complement science instruction, and it is currently used by over 450 school districts and 40,000 teachers with over 1 million student downloads.
Professor Tour has over 785 research publications, over 130 granted patents and over 100 pending patents. He has an h-index = 170 with total citations over 133,000. In 2021, he won the Oesper Award from the American Chemical Society which is awarded to “outstanding chemists for lifetime significant accomplishments in the field of chemistry with long-lasting impact on the chemical sciences.” In 2020, he became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and in the same year was awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Centenary Prize for innovations in materials chemistry with applications in medicine and nanotechnology. Based on the impact of his published work, in 2019 Tour was ranked in the top 0.004% of the 7 million scientists who have published at least 5 papers in their careers. @divegeester saidKinda like having a picture of a black hole and think you understand the mysteries of it along with abilities.
I disagree. Science can access our minds through scans, psychology, psychiatry, and the plethora of cognitive therapies.
@divegeester
I think the soul thing is just another example of the man made nature of all religions.
I can't imagine a god making religions around the world that go after each other's throats IN THE NAME OF SOME GOD OR OTHER. Seems to me proof enough no god was involved in ANY human religion.
For instance, where is a real god when we really need one, nuclear war a distinct possibility, humans causing mass extinctions besides ruining the planet, I would think if a god was in charge here it would be EXTREMELY pissed but I hear nothing, no god taking over social media or TV going, ok humans, this is how it is, and the like. That alone suggests to me, if there IS a god, it want's humans to go extinct which we have been working on diligently for the past 100 years.
@sonhouse saidIf you take into account Satan then it is reasonable that he would have people in every religion possible going after one another, including the one we use to identify the way God gave us for redemption. Doing something evil in the name of righteousness, goodness, and truth is quite the deception obscuring it making it look no different than the rest if you are not looking closely.

@kellyjay saidYou're still missing the fundamental point, which I'm not going to explain to you again, if you haven't got it by now, you probably never will.

@indonesia-phil saidYou have explained nothing, you make religious claims not arguments, there is no reasoning behind any point you make only declaring that you are right and I am wrong.
You're still missing the fundamental point, which I'm not going to explain to you again, if you haven't got it by now, you probably never will.
@indonesia-phil saidWhy should you, you call Dr Tour names and when confronted with his accomplishments you do what you typically do run away without either acknowledging your errors or defending your position. Go slink under a rock and come out when you think bringing up talking snakes 🐍 is a valid scientific argument again.
It's okay Mister Divegeester, I'm not even getting wet. Have a good day.
@kellyjay saidWell, if James Tour names amongst his 'accomplishments' his apparent ability to convince people like you that mythology is fact, then he's a disgrace to the scientific community, regardless of what else he may have achieved. I wonder if James Tour thinks that snakes can talk, what do you reckon?
