The internet empowers people but does so indiscriminately. You are clearly empowered to try to be funny and "intellectual" in any way you choose.
I sometimes wonder what you would be like if you stood up as a guest speaker at a seminar on domestic violence or some similar issue in Jakarta and aired your views there with your PowerPoint presentation and handouts.
Would you trot out similar "purely objective" stuff as you do here and then dismiss the assembled victims and activists as "dour" and "dullards" if they were unimpressed?
Or would there be some grown up guy with a bit of common decency and an understanding of why these serious topics deserve something different than the puerile stuff your chosen persona produces week in week out?
