regionally noted player from the mid-70's - recently retired and getting active with the game again - lots of OTB and coaching some young talent has helped knock the rust off the old hinges
having a wonderful time exploring the global community on sites such as this; something you younglings take for granted - there was no internet when i was playing - and correspondence chess was a different animal entirely - it involved writing a move on a piece of paper and sending it snail mail - i once played a game with an Argentinian master that lasted 2 1/2 years!
strengths are opening theory and endgame management - weakness is a barely controllable urge to sail in strange waters
