Hello!
My name is Vladimir, i'm 28 years old and live near the city of Saint-Petersburg, northwest Russia.
I learned to play chess when i was 3 years old, my first illustrated chessbook is still at my bookshelf. I participated a few chess tournaments when i was in middle grades of school, and last year i got a chance to play blitz with the champion of our city, a strong CM.

I'm a big fan of chess because it seems to me, that chess is not just a sport. I'm sure, that chess is an art and a science too. It's a unversal language for all the humanity, it's something like music or dance. I'm interested in studying the chess games and biography of russian masters of past: Mikhail Chigorin and Alexander Alekhine. Also my favourite players are Paul Keres and Mikhail Tal. I'm always happy to know something new about their games and career.

Today i am an administrator at some small food trading company. My wife and daughter are the most important part of my life, but i always remember about my chess hobby and will be pleased to play a game!
