3 points for a win, 1 for a draw. Leading player or players progress.
Winner of the final group wins the tournament.
Some players just don't get it. When a low-rated player refuses to resign an obviously lost game against a much higher-rated player, that's one thing. But to drag out the game by not moving when mate is imminent is disrespectful to THE PLAYER AND THE GAME.
Bobla45 is an excellent example of an otherwise decent player who refuses to resign a game that is obviously lost. Check it out!
Kudos to the 2600+ rated software program that was just entered into the tournament, to once again be "the big fish in the little pond"!
